Responsibilities* Perform routine laboratory procedures and assays in a timely and reproducible manner. Maintain accurate and meticulous records of methods followed and data obtained. Manage transgenic animal breeding, perform genetic testing of animals, maintain accurate breeding and genetic records. Attend weekly research group meetings and present experiment results. Produce written and graphical reports of experimental procedures and findings. Aid in the production of research reports and manuscripts for publication. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Learn and follow all safety rules and procedures and ensure a safe working environment for all. Required Qualifications* Highly motivated fast learner. Able to perform meticulous and repetitive hands-on work requiring precise manipulations. Highly organized and experienced in accurate record keeping. Familiar with computer operating systems and computer programs, including: word processing, spreadsheet, graphical, presentation and drawing programs. Ability to produce clear, well-written reports in English. Desired Qualifications* Experience with laboratory research procedures and assays. Experience with biochemical assays and genetic testing. Experience with Word, Endnote, Excel, Prism, Powerpoint and Photoshop computer programs.
