| Posting Summary | Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Program Coordinator I for the Human Genetics Institute of New Jersey. As part of two large international, multisite studies on the genetics of Tourette Disorder and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, this person will organize, administer, and coordinate multiple facets of the project. As the Rutgers coordinator, this person will be responsible for subject recruitment, scheduling evaluations, and data entry. In this role, this person will contact families who indicated an interest in participating in the study, collect informed consents, and enter subject data into the central database. Among the key duties of this position are:
- Serve as a liaison with our various collaborating US and international sites.
- In this role, the hire will verify questionnaire data and be responsible for confirming data integrity for all research data from all sites.
- The hire will supervise students working on the project and develop and evaluate processes for effectiveness.
- The person must be able to work independently that is consistent with and understanding of the mission, vision, and goals of the research projects and carry out some routine and semi-routine work under the supervision of the Principal Investigator (PI).
- Overall, the hire must perform professional-level work that requires knowledge of general research protocols and application and use of concepts, theories and terminology of the study protocol.

| COVID-19 Immunization Requirement | Under Policy 60.1.35 , Rutgers University requires all prospective employees to provide proof that they are fully vaccinated and have received a booster (where eligible) against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption. Prospective employees who are not eligible for a booster at the time of an offer of employment must provide proof they have received a booster within two weeks (14 calendar days) of eligibility . Based on current guidance, individuals are considered fully vaccinated against COVID-19 two weeks after receiving the final dose of any COVID-19 vaccine authorized or approved for use in the United States by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and recommended by the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Failure to provide proof of primary vaccination and booster will result in rescission of a prospective employee’s offer of employment and/or disciplinary action up to and including termination.

Minimum Education and Experience | - Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of project coordination and subject recruitment.
- A minimum of two years relevant experience in a research program coordination
| Certifications/Licenses | | Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities | - Good communication (both verbal and written), interpersonal, and organizational skills, and must be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- High level of maturity and have experience dealing with families who have children with special needs.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
| Preferred Qualifications | - Previous experience recruiting individuals and their families for studies on psychiatric disorders. Familiar with Microsoft Access, Word and Excel is desirable. Since the individual will be working with research data, meticulous attention to detail is required.
| Equipment Utilized | - The program coordinator will have daily interactions with the PI, collaborators, clinicians, lab personnel, and parents whose families are involved in the study.
| Physical Demands and Work Environment | - Must be able to transfer study-related blood collection supples to evaluation location. On the evaluation days, this entails some lifting of items and using a rolling cart to transport. The heaviest item is approximately 35 lbs.
