Position Summary | A postdoctoral position currently available in the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Department at the University of Nebraska Medical Center focused on inflammation and immune regulation of cancer metastasis, emphasizing bone metastasis of different malignancies. The potential candidate is expected to perform various cell and molecular biology techniques and work with in vitro 3D co-culture and the genetically modified mouse models for bone metastases of breast and prostate cancer. He/she will study the crosstalk of bone microenvironment (osteoblasts and osteoclasts) and tumor cells and test the potential therapeutic drugs on primary bone cell culture and preclinical murine model of bone metastasis.
| Required Qualifications | A postdoc applicant should have PhD degree in Biochemistry, Biomedical, or Life sciences.
| Supplemental Qualifications | Extensive experience in cell culture, 3D culture, drug screening and development of the preclinical mouse model of bone diseases such as arthritis and bone metastasis. A prior experience in molecular and cell biology. A candidate should have publications as the first author in peer-reviewed journals.
