Course Description The chair of the Department of Strings, in consultation with the dean, will assign instructional responsibilities and schedule for the appointment period within the framework of the Department of Chamber Music. Duties will entail 5-7 contact hours per week of string chamber music coaching, plus a two hour weekly studio class, as well as an additional two hours per week on administrative tasks and mentoring and advising quartet students. This position will be expected to attend the Department of Strings faculty meetings. Required Qualifications* Qualifications: masters degree or career equivalent, with experience teaching high-level students at the collegiate level.
