| Posting Summary | Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst in the Finance Department of Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey. The primary purpose of the Senior Financial Analyst is to develop dashboards, business plans, forecasts, market analyses, performance benchmarking and financial evaluations of existing and new programs for Rutgers and the Health System. The position also develops contract budgets for services billed to contracts. Other responsibilities include financial reporting as well as fiscal control over personnel transactions and contract costs for assigned business segments. Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Develops dashboards, business plans, forecasts, market analyses, performance benchmarking and financial evaluation of existing and new programs for both Rutgers and the Health System.
- Keeps tracks of clinical productivity by faculty, section, disease group, division and location for all oncology providers across the RWJBH system. Monitors metrics in calculating CINJ incentive under the IPA.
- Develops annual budget for the IPA and other clinical contracts.
- Keeps track of clinical faculty and staff FTE for budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting purposes.
- Provides weekly surgical reports to each surgeon to make sure all services are billed, assists in investigating unbilled services.
- Collects productivity and staffing data for clinic leadership, RHG dashboards, RWJBH dashboards and other internal and external users.
- Investigates variances and reports to management items requiring action.
- Makes sure that reports and billings are adequately supported and reconciled to appropriate accounting records.
- Conducts deep dive analyses to identify cost savings and revenue enhancement opportunities.
- Develops divisional, contract, program and faculty productivity reports and P&Ls at these levels.
- Supports the Business Manager in scenario modeling, and market analyses.
- Provides information needed by consultant for incentive calculation and reviews the calculation to make sure data used are accurate.

Minimum Education and Experience | - Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
- Four (4) years of responsible experience in financial accounting, budgeting, forecasting, administration and control.
- Equivalent education, experience and/or training may be substituted for the degree requirement.
