Summary
HITS Human Resources is seeking a temporary staff member to assist with a wide variety of HR duties such as data entry, posting jobs, timekeeping, onboarding, our performance review collection process, and many other transactions. The candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with staff and leadership across the organization on various HR transactions while developing technical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

Health Information Technology and Services (HITS) has 850+ employees and plays an integral role in the success of Michigan Medicine by providing clinicians, educators, researchers, students, and staff with technology-related information, products, services, and support. HITS also provides institutional expertise related to IT strategy, security, infrastructure, and resource management. Michigan Medicine employs over 29,000 staff at The University of Michigan Health System and Medical School.
Responsibilities*
The staff member will assist with the following: - Job postings
- Entering tickets for job offers
- PAR changes (pay changes, title changes, supervisor changes, changes in effort, transfers between departments, etc.)
- Performance Review collection
- Remote Work Agreement collection and entry into MPathways
- Learning FMLA/LOA rules at Michigan Medicine and the University as it relates to timekeeping
- Timekeeping changes needed for the department
- Other misc. duties as assigned
Desired Qualifications*
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in an administrative support capacity
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and team player attitude
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
- Demonstrated proficiency in Zoom, Skype Meetings and A/V conferencing technology
- Ability to manage priorities and deadlines
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience and ability to create grammatically correct, accurate letters, memos, reports, and presentations
- Demonstrated attention to detail, professional demeanor and presentation are necessary
