Summary We are excited to announce the creation of a new position at the University of Michigan- Flint. This position will work directly with the Associate Director of Student Involvement & Leadership to provide intentional support to the fraternity and sorority community and overall student engagement. With a growing fraternity and sorority community and highly involved students, this role will collaborate with staff, students, and advisors to enhance the students’ experiences. The focus of this role is to support the strategic direction of the fraternity and sorority community. Additional experiences beyond major projects may also include supporting leadership programs, campus activities, office operations, and other duties as assigned. Position is part time starting on August 15, 2022 and will end on May 12, 2023. Applicant needs to be available primarily during office hours 8am-5pm with some nights and weekends. Responsibilities* - Support advising of chapters and councils in fraternity and sorority life
- Support the creation of supplemental curriculum for Greek 101 Education Module
- Facilitate educational programs
- Support assessment processes for fraternity and sorority life and overall Student Involvement and Leadership needs
- Promote fraternity and sorority community at Admissions events
- Provide excellent customer service while working in the office
- Connect students to appropriate support services in the Office of the Dean of Students, Student Involvement and Leadership, and other units based on their specific needs
- Provide administrative support to the fraternity and sorority advisory board
- Support the expansion of use of the student organization management system
- Provide additional support for Welcome Programs, and major events from Student Involvement and Leadership
- Support office operations of Student Involvement and Leadership and the Office of Dean of Students
Required Qualifications* - Complete Bachelor's degree
- Experience working with fraternities and sororities
- Experience working with student organizations
- Must be able to work 20 hours per week
- Able to work independently as well as in teams
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and the ability to develop other computer skills as needed
Desired Qualifications* - Current graduate student from any University is preferred
