Georgetown University Center for Global Health Science and Security (GHSS) and the Center for Global Development (CGD) invite applications for a postdoctoral academic fellowship in Financing Health Security to start in September 2022. The fellow will be expected to work with both GHSS and CGD research teams to support efforts to track and analyze the magnitude and flows of funding in health security (see tracking.ghscosting.org), conduct research - ideally utilizing the data in tracking.ghscosting.org while identifying new sources and expanding on the data, and contribute to policy and data quality recommendations for global leaders and organizations. Fellows will be expected to present findings at GHSS and CGD seminars and both internal and external stakeholder meetings and will be encouraged to engage in some lecturing.
The Postdoctoral Fellowship will be awarded from September 2022 until June 2024, although continuation past September 2023 is contingent upon successful progress in year one. In accepting the appointment, the fellow is expected to be in residence in Washington, DC, with an office at the Center for Global Development, and a desk at Georgetown University, except for absences agreed upon with mentor(s). Mentors for this position include Drs. Rebecca Katz , Ellie Graeden and Amanda Glassman .
