Position Summary
The Arts & Education Director provides leadership and oversight to the Fine Arts and Education, Kids Watch, Worship Arts, and Camps to implement the vision. Responsible for developing and growing effective, impactful, and sustainable programs including program development, implementation, and ongoing staff management.
Essential Responsibilities
- Provides oversight, support, strategic guidance, and development
- Identify community needs and develop programs and strategies to meet those needs.
- Champion effective personnel management processes
- Work with Program Managers and Supervisors to develop overall department budgets and achieve established budget priorities
- Identify opportunities for grants, MOUs, agreements and contracts
- Oversee coordination and development of class schedules and recommend appropriate fee schedules
- Performs other duties as assigned
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study or equivalent industry knowledge
- 5 plus years of related experience.
- Master’s degree preferred in a related field of study.
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Basic knowledge of HR/Payroll programs
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
- Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
- Maintain strict confidentiality
