Description of Work |
The Nebraska Governance and Technology Center (NGTC) is an interdisciplinary team of faculty and researchers across the University of Nebraska, housed at the College of Law and engaging in research with the Colleges of Business, Engineering, and Journalism and Mass Communications. In 2021 NGTC launched a survey project to study Americans’ attitudes towards technology and its regulation. This 2 year post doc position will help the Center to continue to develop and implement this survey instrument, engage in substantive analysis of its results, and ultimately produce independent publications from those results. The ideal candidate will have a combination of subject matter expertise and substantive interest in survey-based research methodologies and technology policy topics. Minimum Required Qualifications |
- A recent (or expected soon) PhD or equivalent degree in political science, sociology, law, computer science, business, or other related field that enables them to engage in sophisticated survey-based research methodologies relating to technology policy. Completion of PhD is required prior to the start of work.
- Strong record of high-quality research.
- Ability to work collaboratively on multidisciplinary projects.

- Expertise in technology policy and law.
- Experience in large scale survey data collection projects.
