Minimum Qualifications

PhD, MD or DVM in Philosophy or Psychology and 0 to 3 years of related experience are required.  The university offers market competitive salary and benefits. Grade EE. Salary Minimum $47,476.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with computer science programming.
  • Experience with exposure treatment for eating disorders.
  • Proficiency using R statistical software and familiarity with relevant packages.
  • Familiarity with MATLAB
Position Description

Dr. Levinson, the Director of the Eating Anxiety Treatment (EAT) lab at the University of Louisville (UofL), is hiring a full-time postdoctoral fellow for summer or fall 2022 to work on a National Institute of Mental Health supported randomized controlled trial of personalized treatment for eating disorders. This position will involve working with clinical participants with eating disorders, supervising implementation of a virtual exposure treatment study, conducting diagnostic assessments, learning how to work with mobile technology assessment, working on grant proposals and publications, mentoring graduate and undergraduate students, assisting with data preparation and analysis, and working with a large interdisciplinary team both at UofL and with cross-site collaborators. The postdoctoral fellow will work very closely with Dr. Levinson on a day to day basis. Supervision towards licensure is available.

Opportunities for involvement in grants, including mentored grants, publications, and presentations at national conferences are plentiful. Teaching opportunities are available if desired. Additional clinical opportunities and supervision are also available. This position is renewable for up to three years and preference will be given to a post-doc who can commit to at least two years. Minimum experience is a doctorate in psychology or a related field. This postdoctoral fellowship will help propel the fellow into a tenure-track or research faculty position. Candidate will be proficient in Microsoft office programs and statistical software, e.g., SPSS and have effective written and oral communication skills.
