This position will manage and lead the RBDR/Lab research group, schedule meetings and work with internal and external collaborators to apply for grants, collect data, write research proposals, and collaborate on research articles. Required Education:
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others
Preferred Education:
- PhD in Architecture, Architectural Design, Circular Economy, or Industrial Symbiosis
Responsibilities:
- Research - Conduct research in the field of architecture and circular economy. This includes but not limited to literature review, data collection, and field measurements of prototypes. Work with both internal and external collaborators and meet with industry representatives. Writing grant proposals and coordination of weekly meeting with the lab director and associates. Research conducted will be published in top peer-reviewed journals and presented in peer-review conferences. Troubleshoot and customize experimental tools to respond to research questions. Collaborate resources to complete research plan. Generate clear and timely records of experimental work. Present research results at meetings and engage in result publication. Attend research seminars and research new articles at Principal Investigator’s request. Review literature and analyze data. Develop figures and manuscripts for publications.
- Lab Management - Perform the duties of a lab manager. This includes but not limited to schedule meetings with other researchers. Ensure the other researchers are on tasks, Recruit interested students to join the lab team, and coordinate calls for collaboration. Oversee team’s junior members. Work in a collegial and cooperative manner with the faculty supervisor and other co-workers. Manage the installation of prototypes and maintain equipment. Performs other duties as assigned.
