Position Summary
The Research Technician will be primarily responsible for the maintenance of our mouse colony (genotyping, tagging, etc.) and the laboratory (ordering, safety inspections, etc.). The selected candidate will be expected to assist postdoctoral fellows as well as graduate students in biochemical, cell biological, and/or microscopy studies.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
The selected candidate must be self-motivated and have experience in working with rodents. Must have experience in wet bench laboratory techniques.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Experience in the following areas is preferred:
- Animal handling and mouse colony maintenance 
- PCR (genotyping)
- Biochemical assays, such as SDS PAGE and Western blotting
- Flow cytometry
- microscopy
