The Chabot-Las Positas Community College District is seeking a Head Women’s Volleyball Coach for Spring Semester 2022 at Las Positas College. The ideal candidate must have a passion for teaching and learning and a strong commitment to the missions and values of the community college.

Applicants will be expected to provide instruction in:
• Intercollegiate Volleyball

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Head Women’s Volleyball Coach will be:

1. Responsible for planning and directing the recruitment, conditioning, training, and performance of student athletes.
2. Responsible for fiscal program management for Las Positas College intercollegiate women’s volleyball team.
3. Able to create an inclusive team atmosphere that is culturally responsive, appreciative and equity centered.

Minimum Qualifications:
Any Bachelor’s degree or higher and two years of professional experience, or any associate degree and six years of professional experience.

Evidence of understanding of and responsiveness to the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, racial and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, as these factors relate to the need for equity-minded practices within the classroom.

Desirable Qualifications:
1. Previous head coaching experience
2. CPR Certified
3. Has a Class B License
