Donor Alliance is hiring a Learning & Development Manager in Denver! The Learning and Development (L&D) Manager provides guidance and leadership to the L&D team to improve the development, competency, and productivity of Donor Alliance’s employees. The manager works closely with the Director of Information Systems to assess organizational developmental needs and create training content for work procedures, product use, safety, customer service, and work skills or other topics for all segments of the organization (clinical, support and leadership). This position is also responsible for the knowledge management system and knowledge transfer processes to improve organizational performance.
Department Oversight:
  • Leads the day to day operations of Learning and Development in the design, delivery, and maintenance of effective employee training systems to create the foundation of a quality-centered learning organization.
  • Works closely with the Director of Information Systems to assess the training needs of the organization and employees; as well as develop, coordinate and conduct specialized departmental training.
  • Performs needs assessments to develop appropriate training solutions. Uses instructional systems designed to guide development and delivery of effective adult learning experiences.
  • Develops and implements formal measurements of training effectiveness, consistently reports results, and works collaboratively with leadership members and designated SME’s to improve programs and outcomes.
  • Develops and implements systems to monitor and update learning content accuracy.
  • Ensures documentation and core competencies are compliant with operational policies and procedures, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards.
  • Ensures that training systems meet industry regulatory requirements.
  • Monitors learning and development program effectiveness.
  • Responsible for recommending and coordinating outside training services.
  • Works with department leaders to develop employee competency assessments.
  • Oversight of knowledge management and knowledge transfer processes and systems to improve organizational performance.
  • Responsible for providing leadership and direction to L&D team; including hiring, staff performance reviews, professional development, and monitoring staff activities.
  • Responsible for staffing, performance, engagement/satisfaction, and team building through the employee development program.
  • Responsible for the development of plans, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures, and completion of projects. Manages relevant documentation (electronic time records, expense reports, seminars, and PTO requests and performance evaluations).
  • Facilitates regular team meetings.
  • Promotes the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of Donor Alliance.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all donor, recipient, and employee information.
  • May perform other related duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
  • Actively participates as a member of the leadership team.
  • Actively participates in performance excellence initiatives.
  • Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, education E-Learning or related field or equivalent education and/or work experience required.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in design and delivery of learning and development program preferred.
  • Minimum of three years management experience preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and interact positively with all levels of management and staff.
  • Proficiency in the use of computer equipment and software, including but not limited to, Windows environment (Word, Excel, Outlook – Intermediate to Advanced skills) required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and interact positively with all levels of management and staff.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills required.
  • $81,548, exempt (not eligible for overtime)
Additional Compensation:
  • Variable Pay Bonus Plan, per plan document
