Job Description
The Recruiting Coordinator will represent Meridian Community College both on and off campus to prospective students, parents, secondary school counselors and other individuals or organizations involved in the college selection process.
- Plan and implement recruitment activities for students in and outside of the recruiting district, as required.
- Counsel prospective applicants on the admissions process and educational and financial aid/scholarship opportunities at Meridian Community College.
- The Recruiting Coordinator will participate in various student campus tours and on-campus or off-campus events centered around recruitment activities.
- Establish and maintain positive and ongoing communications with high school prospects, counselors, career center counselors, teachers, and campus administrators via phone calls, campus visits, email, print and other media.
- Present MCC to public at large through public speaking opportunities and represent a strong, positive, and student-centered college message.
- The Recruiting Coordinator will participate in Ivy League Recruiters training experience and associated recruiting activities.
- Collaborate with the College Communications offices in the development of promotional materials for recruiting events and activities and in the communications with prospective students.
- Assist in delivery of Liftoff for incoming freshman.
- Provide regular status reports and ad hoc reports, as requested.
- The Recruiting Coordinator will participate in after-hours events for recruiting and MCC campus life.
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum of 40 hours to by typically logged between 8:00am and 4:30pm, Monday through Thursday and 8:00am to 3:30pm on Fridays; and any additional hours that may be required to complete regular duties and/or other assignments. The employee will need to participate in some evening and weekend events for recruiting and campus life activities.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
Preferred Qualifications
- One to three years related professional work experience
- Indicate understanding and passion for people of all ages
- Demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain a positive working relationship with a diverse population
- Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills
Physical Demands
- Able to lift up to 25 pounds
- Execute setting up and breaking down an event
