Job Summary
The School of Communication, English, and World Languages is seeking Assistant Professors of English to begin Fall 2022
The Assistant Professor has the primary responsibility of instruction in the classroom for students enrolled in English courses, as well as ensuring the success and retention of students while maintaining high academic standards.
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s Degree in English or Master’s Degree with 18 graduate hours in English. Primary teaching responsibilities in Composition courses.
Philosophy compatible with that of a comprehensive urban community college.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ph.D. in English.
- Experience in developmental or co-requisite English education; teaching experience at the community college or university level.
- Preference for faculty who have familiarity with dual credit teaching as a part of the community college mission.
