Posting Summary |
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow for the Department of Pediatrics within Rutgers, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Under the direction of the Director of PopQuIS, the Postdoctoral Fellow conducts specialized research, literature review and support for the Maternal and Child Health-Measurement Research Network (MCH-MRN) and its measurement interest groups. The MCH-MRN project focuses on measurement related to the maternal and child health population. The current interest groups, known as Measurement Improvement Groups (MIGs), focus on the following areas: Clinical Improvements, COVID-19, Equality and Disparities, Family Engagement, and Social Determinants of Health. Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Participates in the research, administration, and dissemination activities of the Maternal and Child Health Measurement Research Network (MCH-MRN) and its measurement interest groups.
- Takes leadership of specific scholarly and other activities of the MCH-MRN as assigned or approved, including
authorship of specified network products.
- Assumes leadership of specified activities potentially including network website, administrative leadership of specified MIGs, and others assigned or agreed to.
- Participates and conducts research development of special projects as assigned, through activities including literature
reviews, data gathering and analysis related to key topics in areas of child/family health, population and community health, and policy.
- Assists in planning and development, focusing on research, quality improvement and best practices.

Minimum Education and Experience |
- Ph.D. Degree or equivalent in a relevant science with three (3) years or less of postdoctoral research experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Standing, sitting, walking, talking and hearing. No special vision requirements. Must be able to lift or exert force up to 25 pounds. Ability to communicate with staff and collaborators via virtual meeting software (Zoom, Teams, WebEx, etc), phone, and email.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Must pass employee health clearance, TB Test and required safety training. Clinical/office environment with moderate amount of noise.
