The Department of Neurology at the University of Virginia seeks doctoral neuropsychology applicants for an Assistant or Associate Professor position in the Department of Neurology. The incumbent will devote a majority of effort to clinical responsibilities in neurodegenerative diseases in the Memory and Aging Care and Movement Disorders Clinics and associated teaching activities. The selected candidate will also dedicate effort to scholarship, training and contributing to an active, clinical trials research program in dementia. Applicants with an interest in establishing, or with demonstrated ability sustaining an effective extramurally funded, independent research program are encouraged to apply.  The successful applicant should enjoy working in a multi-disciplinary team and aiding in the training of postdoctoral fellows in our APPCN fellowship program.
Candidates must have earned a PhD in Psychology or a PsyD and be licensed or license eligible in Virginia by the start date of the appointment. Strong consideration will be given to individuals who are board certified in clinical neuropsychology through ABPP or who are in the processes of becoming boarded.  A demonstrated commitment to teaching and research excellence is required. Evidence of an explicit commitment and activities promoting diversity and advancing understanding and outcomes for underrepresented groups is essential.
