Postdoctoral Scholar in Material Science Research |
Job Description |
A full-time postdoctoral position is available immediately for Multidisciplinary Material Science Research at the University of Notre Dame, affiliated with the Notre Dame Integrated Imaging Facility. The prospective candidate will conduct the interdisciplinary research on the project with the aim to develop the methodology for atomic resolution 3D-EDS Tomography and EELS diagnostics and use them for the characterization of selected materials with the goal of better understanding the mechanics of growth, and the feature space that promotes growth as a function of particle size and composition. The postdoctoral fellow will receive full training for working on the Transmission Electron Microscope Spectra 30-300 with world record resolution below 0.5 angstrom. Minimum Qualifications |
A Ph.D. in Material Science or related discipline. Demonstrated excellence in computer software and equipment operation. Proven ability to work independently within a research lab.
