RESEARCH ASSISTANT, School of Medicine, Pharmacology (4857)

The primary responsibilities of the position include daily operation of laboratory instrumentation, perform biological experiments to prepare a variety of samples for analyses, maintenance of major and minor instruments and interaction with manufacturers for service when needed, support senior scientists and postdoctoral fellows with a variety of experimental procedures, support the principal investigators with laboratory operation and task scheduling, interact with department administrative staff to organize laboratory-related activities, and purchase reagents and laboratory supply.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Daily operation of laboratory instrumentation including single molecule counter and other analytic equipment
  • Perform biological experiments to prepare a variety of samples for analyses
  • Maintenance of major and minor instruments and interaction with manufacturers for service when needed
  • Support the principal investigators with laboratory operation and task scheduling
  • Support senior scientists and postdoctoral fellows with a variety of procedures
  • Interact with department administrative staff to organize laboratory-related activities, and purchase reagents and laboratory supply.

Bachelor's degree and less than 12 months of experience required.
