The Raclin Murphy Museum of Art strives to create positions for university students to work closely with specific Museum departments while allowing moments for broad learning of museum practice.
Under the supervision of the Communications Program Director, this position will help with social media, design, and marketing projects, while assisting with day-to-day communication needs that help promote exhibitions and programs at the Museum.
Projects/work assignments:
- Sending weekly promotional materials to campus and community partners
- Assisting in day-to-day communication needs
- Creating digital signage and content to promote the Raclin Murphy Museum of Art and upcoming programs
Skills and knowledge that will be gained:
- Current marketing practices in museums
- Experience creating engaging marketing materials
Minimum Qualifications
- Proficiency in Adobe Suite required, especially Illustrator, Photoshop and/or InDesign
- Ability to work both independently and with a team
- Ability to write clearly and creatively
- Adaptable to various internet platforms
This position is open to current university and college students.
