Job Summaries
The Recruiter supports the enrollment strategy of Stone Child College by providing admissions information to prospective or newly admitted students, creating communication material, and by representing the College at onsite locations such as high schools, community colleges, cultural events, sporting events, career fairs, community events, and other events. This position requires considerable contact with prospective students. This position reports directly to the Director of Institutional Research & Development.

Job Duties
• Communicate with prospective students, parents, and community through appointment, phone, email, and virtual platforms
• Respond to all inquiries pertaining to Stone Child College
• Serve as the Stone Child College representative for off-campus functions
• Arrange visits and tours for prospective students and parents
• Visits middle schools, high schools, and community colleges to promote outreach activities
• Visits with school counselors, administrators, and other pertinent groups to promote outreach activities
• Assist with the development of enrollment marketing publications and communications including letters, brochures, website postings, electronic mail and other mediums
• Present information about the benefits of an education from Stone Child College at onsite locations and to oncampus visitors
• Foster and develop relationships with schools or other recruitment areas
• Research and implement innovative recruitment strategies and best practices
• Develop and adhere to budgets
• Compile recruitment data and other academic data
• Audits student data and conducts statistical research to target population(s) for recruitment and to assess recruitment effectiveness
• Prepares reports and proposals regarding recruitment and outreach activities
• Responsible for the coordination of student recruitment goals
• Coordinates participation of staff, faculty, and alumni for recruitment fairs, conferences, and related events
• Develop and coordinate fundraising programs such as scholarship awarding programs, summer admissions
programs, and relevant community and/or cultural programs


• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, education or other related field preferred
• Associate degree required
• Extensive knowledge of Stone Child College admissions requirements, student policies and procedures
• Knowledge of student recruitment and retention issues
• Organizing and coordinating skills
• Must be a self-starter in order to develop, implement, and assess recruitment outreach and strategies
• Ability to research, define, develop, and implement a recruitment strategy
• Ability to develop and deliver presentations
• Ability to analyze trends in recruitment and retention programs
• Ability to work independently with little direct supervision
• Ability to work effectively as a team member with departments within the college, departments throughout the Rocky Boy’s Indian Reservation, and outside agencies as needed
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in an effective and efficient manner
• Ability to effectively meet and deal with the public
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing using proper grammar and punctuation
• The employee may be required to travel throughout the county, state,and out of state.
