Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Post-Doctoral Fellow in Pediatrics for Population Health, Quality, and Implementation Sciences at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. 
Under direction of the Principal Investigator, performs community engaged and clinical research activities; assists in the conduct of highly specialized mixed methods, intervention development, and dissemination and implementation research. 
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
  • As directed, performs various community engaged research activities related to intervention development and implementation; assists in conducting specialized research for a particular phase of a project. 
  • Participates in the development of a manualized intervention, professional development/training, performance standards, programmatic organization and implementation; selection of methodology and engagement activities; leads data collection and management efforts; plays key role in analysis and dissemination including but not limited to writing and presentations; functions with the clinical, community, and research areas to ensure conformance with the goals and objectives of the department. 
  • Under supervision, assists in the conducting of a continuous program of research and development regarding the analytical and project management of the research program. Participates in the evaluation of the existing programs, suggesting revisions where necessary and proposing new procedures where required. 
  • Understands and adheres to Rutgers compliance standards as they appear in Rutgers Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy. 
  • Keeps abreast of all pertinent federal, state and Rutgers’ compliance standards as they appear in RBHS’ Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Interest policy.

Minimum Education and Experience
  • A doctoral degree (PhD, EdD, etc) is required at the time of starting the fellowship.

  • Working knowledge of reporting tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Must have the ability to work collaboratively and independently.

Preferred Qualifications
  •  Spanish proficiency is strongly desirable.

  • PHYSICAL DEMANDSStanding, sitting, walking, talking and hearing. No special vision requirements. Must be able to lift or exert force up to 25 pounds.  Ability to work in a laboratory environment if needed.  Ability to perform laboratory research.
