Job Description
 

Postdoctoral Research Position is available in the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at MU. The qualified candidate will be working in the development and application of multiscale modeling and simulation procedures with the use of the finite element method, material point method, molecular dynamics and/or other particle methods, as well as using machine learning software for data-driven analyses. The Post-Doc will be expected to pursue innovation and publish articles in areas related to Simulation-Based Engineering Science.


Qualifications
 

The position requires a Ph.D. in Engineering Mechanics with a focus on Computational Mechanics. Technically proficient in multiscale modeling and simulation, and managing large datasets. You will need to be comfortable working on remote clusters, be independent, collegial and open to multi-institutional collaborations. Strong programming skills in one or more of the following are required: Fortran, Python, and C++.
