Job Description
 

Srivastava (Sri) Lab is a recent addition to the School of Medicine at the University of Missouri Columbia, MO. The lab leads projects studying the molecular basis of cancer, developing novel liquid biopsy diagnostic and anti-cancer therapeutic strategies focusing on Extracellular Vesicles (EVs) or 'exosomes.'
The lab uses cutting-edge technologies in scientific areas, including integrative multi-omic strategies, deep learning, genome editing, imaging, and nanomedicine. Multiple positions at various levels are open in the lab. Interested candidates should be ready to work in a highly dynamic and versatile scientific ecosystem with active clinical, engineering, informatics, and basic sciences partners.
The candidate will study the oncogenic molecular signals carried by the cancer-specific EVs in creating favorable tumor micro-environmental niche, immune system modulation, and metastasis. Prior knowledge of EV is not needed; however, knowledge of basic molecular biology and cancer biology is preferred. Experience in working with the animal model system will be a plus.


Qualifications
 

A recent MD or PhD, MD-PhD can apply for this position.
