The Giving Back Fund (GBF) is a national nonprofit organization that encourages and facilitates charitable giving by professional athletes, celebrities, high net worth individuals, existing nonprofit organizations, corporations and others who truly desire to give back. We provide philanthropic consulting, management and administrative services while operating as a flexible, convenient vehicle for establishing individual foundations and fiscally sponsored projects under a governance structure similar to a community foundation. By offering a straightforward and cost-effective approach to philanthropy, high-level expertise and professional services, and carefully targeted giving opportunities, GBF helps those who want to give back to society and to the communities that have nurtured them.

The Giving Back Fund, Inc. is currently seeking to add a new team member, a Foundation Manager, who would be an integral member of our growing Foundation team. The Foundation Manager works as part of a cross-functional team managing a portfolio of charitable clients.


Manage day-to-day operations and administration of select foundations, including but not limited to:

  • Advise clients related to IRS rules and regulations for Fiscally Sponsored Organizations
  • Draft and approve client contracts, approve expenses and payment requests, develop and oversee project budgets and finances
  • Serve as point-person for day-to-day questions, inquiries and needs for clients, including high-profile individuals
  • Onboard and operationalize new clients
  • Manage foundation’s donations: processing gifts, approving thank you letters, and creating online giving portals
  • Create and approve marketing and event collateral
  • Performing due diligence and contacting on potential grantees or scholarship recipients
  • Manage grant and scholarship cycles of assigned foundations: Performing due diligence and contacting on potential grantees or scholarship recipients; Create and manage database of applications, distribute for review and disseminate notification of results; Organize reporting and results from grants and scholarships
  • Critically evaluate growth opportunities and ways for clients to increase impact
  • Develop and implement new charitable programs to meet foundations’ donor advisors’ goals
  • Research opportunities for expansion and partnerships
  • Accepting applications, notifying grant recipients of award, notifying appropriate media sources
  • Distributing RFPs and applications
  • Oversee the planning and coordination of events and fundraisers
  • Coordinate volunteers, partner nonprofit organizations, and corporate sponsors
  • Research social issues and existing programs working on the issue, and provide innovative solutions to these social issues


  • Use CRM to manage donors for individual foundations
  • Research funding opportunities for foundations (sponsorships, grants, partnerships,


  • Write letters of inquiry and grant proposals to support GBF’s foundations


  • Bachelor's degree
  • Previous work experience in the nonprofit or philanthropy sectors
  • 5+ years working experience required- previous experience with project/account management a plus
  • Extremely attentive to details
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Works well with a variety of individuals
  • Communicates clearly and effectively
  • Excellent listening skills
  • Works calmly and efficiently in a crisis and works well under pressure and on tight deadlines
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and identify priority tasks
  • Skilled at working in high-paced environment, with high volume of emails/tasks
  • Quick learner to new and unfamiliar projects/tasks
  • Demonstrated skill and experience in at least one of the following areas: Individual donor engagement and development, corporate sponsorship procurement, event planning and execution, fundraising through social media, grant and fundraising campaign content development, IRS rules and compliance
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite – particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint, including mail merge
  • Willingness to learn new technologies/social media platforms as needed
  • Experience with CRM, databases, Expensify, WordPress, and/or with graphic design a plus
  • Some evening and weekend hours required


$50,000-70,000 (plus benefits) depending on experience.
