Truckee Meadows Community College is recruiting for a Child Care Worker 2 for the Child Care Center. ***This position does not provide layoff rights and is contingent upon funding. This position will assist in infant/toddler and preschool programs designed for care of children and for stimulation of their social, emotional, academic, and physical development. Other duties include but are not limited to: is daily caretaking of children, planning and implementing curriculum, developmental screening of children, communicating with parents, supervising student employees and practicum students, communicating effectively with other staff; and other duties as assigned.
This position requires graduation from high school or equivalent and two years of experience working with small children in a preschool setting; OR one year of experience as a Child Care Worker I in Nevada State Service.
Pursuant to NRS 284.4066, this position has been identified as affecting public safety. Persons offered employment in this position must submit to a pre-employment screening for controlled substances.
The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm; this is subject to change based on organizational needs.
