Job Summary/Basic Function
Job Summary:  Lamar University invites applications for a one-year term post-doctoral research position at the Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences. The position will report to the Audiology Lab work under the supervision of Dr. Vinaya Manchaiah on an NIH funded project on developing and evaluating the Internet -based cognitive behavioral therapy for tinnitus (ICBT). Responsibilities include performing one-year follow up of patients who have completed the ICBT program, analyzing the data generated from this project and writing the manuscript. It is expected that the successful candidate will have demonstrated research experience audiology, psychology, or a related health science specialty. The ideal candidate will possess excellent research capabilities, written and verbal communication skills, and an interest in digital therapeutics. 
Essential Job Functions:
1. Preforming review and post-intervention evaluation of participants who have completed the  Internet-based CBT (ICBT) for tinnitus.
2. Analyzing the qualitative and quantitative data generated from this project
3. Preparing the manuscripts for publication
Other duties may be assigned to this position on a regular or occasional basis to respond to the needs of the University. 
Minimum Qualifications (Education & Experience)
Minimum Education Required:  PhD in audiology, psychology, or related area of health sciences.
Minimum Experience Required:  Peer-reviewed journal publications in health science. Related research or work experience with tinnitus population.
Physical Requirements:  The successful incumbent will be expected to work at Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. However, there are possibility to work remotely anywhere in the United States.
Job Conditions:  This position may require occasional evening and/or weekends to meet university and departmental needs.
