Perform duties in support of the STARS program and other CTE programming, such
as maintaining financial and student records; assisting students, faculty, staff, and
the public; liaison for administrative staff; coordinating events; and other general
office work. The expectation is duties focused on STARS programming to be 50% of
effort, and other CTE programming to be 50% effort.

MANDATORY: Associates degree in Business, Office Administration or other related
field; OR equivalent combination of education and professional experience. Must
demonstrate sensitivity to the needs of a diverse population. Proficient use of
internet- and desktop-based software, including word and spreadsheet programs.

Initiate and coordinate meeting agendas and materials and provide accurate
minutes for Department Chairs and Advisory Committees.

Coordinate special events for the CTE division, including but not limited to, CTE
Open House, FFA events, Advisory Committee meetings, and CTE
recruitment/retention and fundraising efforts.

Assist the Department Chairs as liaison with the College community, State of
Oregon Office of Community Colleges, Oregon Department of Education – Office of

Develop, implement, and maintain tracking system for student outcomes by STARS
program participants.

Meet with STARS students on a regular basis throughout each term.

Meet frequently with students’ Family Coaches at DHS and keep the coaches
informed of the students’ progress. Provide information about STARS participants’
progress, help identify reasons for participation issues and assist DHS and STARS
participants to find solutions that will encourage and support success.

Prepare and submit STARS grant reporting and review with Program Manager and
DHS staff.

Provide referrals to the services provided through the STEP program.

Provide wrap-around service referrals to STARS participants.

Use effective written communication skills for persuasive communications/letters
and publicity, ability to take initial ideas and draft documents, proposals,
memorandums as well as develop/facilitate events as needed/requested by
Department Chairs.

Coordinate and handle assignments involving a high level of organization,
confidentiality, record keeping, attention to detail, and accuracy.

Monitor and reconcile CTE credit card accounts.

Intake and track requisitions and purchase orders for division.

Monitor and reconcile account balances for CTE programs, Department Chairs, and

Initiate contracts, requisitions, and requests for grant monies, for example, for the
TVCC Rodeo and Chukar Rodeo Weekend.

This is a full-time, 12-month, Professional, exempt position.
