Job Summary
The University of Kentucky is seeking a postdoctoral scholar to work with a team of scientists in epidemiology, biostatistics, and psychology on a K-12 school staff mental health and wellness research study related to the impacts of COVID-19.  The scholar will lead analyses and manuscripts evaluating school staff mental health and wellness, work-life experiences, mitigation approaches, use of disinfection products, and other school responses and health outcomes resulting from the pandemic. 
 
The postdoctoral fellow will work with a dedicated mentors in a supportive research environment.  The scholar will also contribute to community engagement and outreach related to the research study.  Activities includes working with our stakeholder advisory board, development of executive summaries and report back materials, development of infographics and other data design, and communication strategies with participants to keep them informed of study results and progress.  In addition, the scholar will also have opportunities to pursue career development activities, present at professional conferences, develop independent research projects and apply for K99/R00 or other research grants.  
 
Qualifications: Candidates must have a PhD or equivalent graduate degree in epidemiology, health behavior, biostatistics, environmental health sciences, or related field.  Programming and data management skills in SAS, R, or Stata as well as excellent writing skills are required.  Additional desired qualifications include experience in qualitative and quantitative research, graphic design using Canva or other software, and/or statistical approaches to analyze survey data.
