Job Description
The Cass County Center Coordinator serves as point of contact for students and community members at the Cass County Center. Responsibilities include day-to-day operations, student support and community involvement. This position helps create an overall safe and positive learning environment for students. The Center Coordinator must have the ability and willingness to work independently and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Duties include assisting students with advising and academic support, as well as referring them to appropriate services both within and outside of the college. The Center Coordinator will serve as a liaison between Iowa Western Community College and the local community by coordinating continuing education classes and by participating in community events as a representative of Iowa Western.

Required Qualifications
Associate Degree from an accredited college
Office Experience Required
Computer Experience required, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Products
Hiring process includes ability to pass a background check, a valid driver’s license, and a good driving record.

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in any field
Experience in working with college students preferred

Physical Demands
Requires prolonged standing or sitting. Requires frequent bending, stooping or stretching. May require heavy lifting. Needs the ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time, use hands to operate computer keyboard, telephone, and other basic office equipment, and ability to work with diverse populations. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, and use a phone. Some travel, by vehicle, may be required. Reading, writing, calculating, social interaction skills, reasoning/analysis, and ability to work with minimal supervision, high degree of problem-solving, organizational skills with the teaching and learning process, and high level of inter-personal skills is preferred.

Salary
Up to $50,000 DOE and Education
