Experience with handling mice, cell culture, Western blotting, genotyping, DNA and RNA purification, real-time PCR, and immunohistochemistry preferred. Experience in radiotelemetry surgery preferred.

Job Summary
A postdoctoral position is available immediately to investigate the cellular and molecular mechanisms of the prorenin receptor in obesity/diabetes and hypertension. The projects include studies on fatty liver disease and interactions with adipose tissue depots and the relationship with hypertension. Individuals with a Ph.D. and a strong background in metabolism, molecular biology and blood pressure regulation are desirable. Knowledge in sex difference and sex hormones are not necessary but will be beneficial. Background in metabolism, molecular and cellular biology, and endocrinology beneficial.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Capable of working independently and in a dependable and reliable manner and pro-active. Excellent capability as a team worker. Maintain precise records of the experiments in the lab notes and software. Excellent oral and writing communication capability.
