Elizabethtown Community & Technical College (ECTC), located in Elizabethtown, KY, is one of 16 two year colleges in the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS). ECTC offers daytime, evening, online and weekend classes at several campus locations. Opened in 1964 and accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), our goal is to prepare students for successful transfer to Kentucky four year colleges or for immediate entrance into fulfilling careers.

Long Description:

ECTC is seeking a high energy, hands-on individual to recruit students in the college’s service area through various platforms with the goal of expanding the student population at ECTC.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive outreach and recruitment program targeting traditional (18-24) prospective students.
  • Ascertain the needs of prospective students and appropriate resources available at ECTC and within the College’s Service Region.
  • Work closely with other offices to identify, expand and enhance programs and services.
  • Provide opportunities for prospective students to learn about programs and services at ECTC through on-campus, off-campus and virtual activities, including open house(s), information sessions, presentations, and campus tours.
  • Develop and maintain effective partnerships with secondary education partners and other organizations to assist prospective students in the college consideration and transition process.
  • Create a calendar of outreach and recruitment events both on and off-campus.
  • Work with the Marketing and Public Relations department to develop relevant promotional materials.
  • Prioritize personal contact with prospective students and provide exceptional customer service by phone, email and text.
  • Use the college’s customer relationship management system to track personal outreach.

Position Requirements:

Associate’s Degree and two years related work experience, or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree, no experience)

  • Travel required.
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills required.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively on a team.
  • Proficient computer skills, particularly in MS Word, MS Excel, CRM software.
