Job Description

The Electrical Systems CI (ESCI) Instructor will provide specialized instruction on Shipboard Electrical Systems, focusing on HM&E operations across Cruisers, Destroyers, and Amphibious Class Ships. The role requires deep technical expertise, instructional leadership, and hands-on experience with shipboard electrical systems and training platforms.

* Develop and deliver training courses on shipboard Electrical Systems, including components that impact Anchor Windlass, Small Boat Engines, Afloat Crane Systems, Hangar Doors, Sliding Padeyes, and various switchboard and electrical generation systems related to deck operations.
* Serve as a recognized expert in shipboard electrical power processes and systems for Cruisers, Destroyers, and Amphibious Class Ships.
* Guide, mentor, and develop fellow instructors to ensure instructional excellence in shipboard electrical training.
* Research, analyze, and interpret technical specification documents to translate complex information into clear, effective instructional materials.
* Operate and manipulate training systems to accurately and effectively present learning objectives.
* Maintain up-to-date course materials and adapt training programs to meet evolving requirements and feedback.

Job Requirements

*Twelve (12) years of relevant experience with general Shipboard Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) systems, with specific expertise in Shipboard Electrical Systems.
* Recognized expertise in shipboard electrical systems, specifically as they relate to Anchor Windlass, Small Boat Engines, Afloat Crane Systems, Hangar Doors, Sliding Padeyes, and switchboard and electrical generation systems supporting deck operations on Cruisers, Destroyers, and Amphibious Class Ships.
* Four (4) years of experience as an instructor of shipboard electrical power processes, with proven responsibility for mentoring and guiding the development of other instructors.
* Three (3) years of experience in roles requiring the ability to research, analyze, and apply technical specification documents and effectively translate technical content into instructional material.
* Three (3) years of experience utilizing and manipulating training systems to ensure accurate and engaging presentation of instructional content.

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities (KSAs)
*Deep technical knowledge of shipboard electrical systems and power processes. *Strong instructional and mentorship abilities, with proven success in developing instructors and learners. *Excellent ability to interpret and translate complex technical specifications into actionable training. *Proficiency in operating training systems and simulation tools for effective learning delivery. *Strong communication and presentation skills with an emphasis on clarity and instructional effectiveness.
