Position Summary:

The Assistant Dean for Graduate Program Administration manages the administrative activities of graduate degree programs and certificates. This position reports to the SoHE Chief of Staff while working closely with the Faculty Director for Graduate Programs. This position is responsible for graduate program recruitment, admissions, new student orientation, monitoring of progress towards degree, course and/or enrollment management, diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives, funding, program assessment, and academic program review. This position will require an entrepreneurial approach to building graduate programming. Degree and Area of Specialization:

Bachelor's degree required. Master's Degree strongly preferred.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:
Required:
Three or more years of experience working in higher education administration or graduate student services.

Preferred:
SoHE seeks individuals who have experience in the following:
  • Supporting and advocating for the needs of students with racial/ethnic underrepresented, first generation, or low-income identities.
  • Managing and overseeing graduate education programs
  • Mentoring students
  • Conflict resolution and conflict management
  • Developing policies and procedures to improve quality and efficiency of services
  • Communicating complex information in a clear and organized manner in both verbal and written forms
  • Working effectively with a diverse group of constituents at varying levels in an organization
  • Creating an inclusive work and learning environment
