The Events & Communications Coordinator provides communications, event design and planning for the Lucy Family Institute for Data and Society.
This is a highly collaborative role in an Institute that serves as an intellectual hub for Notre Dame’s students, faculty, and research scientists working with leaders from industry, government, and academia to advance data innovations and to help transform society and individual lives.
The Events & Communications Coordinator organizes, promotes and prepares for the Institute’s meetings and events. The position is responsible, with guidance, for taking an articulated big-picture vision of an event and using creative judgment to attend to all the details and to realize the event within a defined budget. This individual will collaborate on the development and implementation of Institute-wide communications that inform and engage the Institute’s constituencies on and off campus forwarding the Institute’s mission. This position will report to and work closely with the Associate Director of Operations and the Institute’s Program Director, Engagement and Storytelling, on special projects, events and communications for the Institute. The ideal candidate is able to work on tasks/projects with limited supervision.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in communications or related field and at least 2 years experience in a similar role.
