The historic I & M Canal Trail still thrives today featuring more than sixty miles of trails for hiking, biking, and snowmobiling. The Illinois, Fox and Vermilion Rivers provide stunning scenery and great opportunities for an array of water sports.

The Starved Rock Country Community Foundation is seeking a community-minded leader with significant fundraising. The SRCCF is a relatively young organization, formed just over 5 years ago, with a history of steady growth and the potential for huge growth. The President/CEO will bring together financial resources from the community, grant makers and other resources to support effective non-profit agencies and other local charitable initiatives;

to create and manage scholarships for local students and to provide philanthropic leadership throughout the communities served. The successful candidate must have a strong desire to deeply engage in Starved Rock Country by “connecting people who care with causes that matter”, as is the mission of SRCCF. Minimum experience of at least five years with in-depth knowledge and commitment to the nonprofit sector at a senior staff or executive level, donor management, fundraising, project management, fiscal management, and leadership experience is required to apply.
