This position is in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases.  This position is for the Medical School Campus.  



Essential Functions

Postdoctoral Fellowship: Identification of biomarkers for filarial infections and development of diagnostic tests.

The Budge Lab in the Infectious Diseases Division of the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis is seeking a postdoctoral fellow to perform laboratory research on identifying biomarkers of filarial infections (onchocerciasis, loiasis, and lymphatic filariasis), with the aim of generating improved diagnostics of filarial parasites. 

The fellow will work together with a large group of scientists from different disciplines, is expected to advise technicians and students and will help to coordinate a larger project. 



Required Qualifications

  • Ph.D. degree.
  • Experience in molecular biology, immunology, and protein biology.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong publication record.


Preferred Qualifications

Experience with mass spectrometry, parasitology and/or microbiology would be helpful. 



Salary Range

Base pay commensurate with experience.
