Posting Summary

A Postdoctoral Associate position is available at the Animal Sciences Department in the laboratory of Dr. Troy Roepke. Candidate must have a Ph.D. degree in neuroscience, toxicology, endocrinology, or other related areas. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a publication record consistent with career level, and an interest in understanding the influence of endocrine disruption and chronic stressors on behavior, neurophysiology and the transcriptome in the brain. Experience in whole-cell patch clamp electrophysiology; behavioral tests for cognition, memory, motivation/reward, social interactions, and approach/avoidance; expertise in chronic stressors, neuroanatomy, and CRH/CRF signaling; and proficiency in bioinformatic analysis of RNA-sequencing data. Proficiency in oral and written English are required. Salary will be commensurate with NIH and Rutgers guidelines. The position is based in the Roepke laboratory, an interdisciplinary and energetic research group housed on the Cook campus of Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ. In addition to advanced scientific training; post-doctoral researchers in the Roepke laboratory receive training in bioinformatics analysis techniques, grantsmanship, and scientific communication. As a postdoctoral associate, the candidate would have abundant opportunities to interact with members of the vibrant neuroscience, toxicology, and endocrinology community within Rutgers University and the Department of Animal Sciences.
