This position is in the Department of Biology.  This position is for the Danforth Campus in the School of Arts & Sciences.



Essential Functions

One postdoctoral position is available immediately for a highly motivated researcher to participate in projects focusing on understanding how the cell utilizes ribosomes and associated factors to maintain genetic fidelity during problematic translation.

The successful candidate will utilize biochemical and molecular biology techniques to probe the mechanisms by which factors interact with the ribosome and how these interactions change under stress conditions. The candidate will prepare RNA libraries from various ribosome and associated factor mutants in yeast for RNA-seq and ribosome profiling. The candidate will also prepare samples for mass spectrometry and cryo-EM analysis.



Required Qualifications

Ph.D. degree.  



Salary Range

Base pay commensurate with experience.
