What you need to know

Required Education and Experience:

  • Appropriate doctoral degree

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Doctoral degree in Education or related field
  • Experience working with and supporting large-scale research
  • Experience in education related data collection, verification, and analysis – specifically qualitative analysis; proficiency utilizing NVivo software

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated ability working with diverse populations
  • Strong background in qualitative analysis
  • Scientific writing and publication skills
  • Intermediate level knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, NVivo
  • Organized
  • Pays attention to details
  • Strong language skills in English

Responsibilities:

Data analysis and coding

  • Utilize NVivo software to systematically analyze project data (to detect themes, relationships, experiences of project participants)
  • Support graduate student use of NVivo and analysis (develop resource documents, provide training, provide support as needed)
  • Delegate and distribute data sets for qualitative analysis, monitor process, provide feedback
  • Develop qualitative analysis timeline and goals

Support dissemination of research findings

  • Develop high quality scientific manuscripts by preparing methods, analysis, and findings
  • Develop and submit proposals, manuscripts, abstracts, and reports related to project (including technical reports and research briefs)
  • Present findings at research conferences and institutes

Other

  • Performs other duties as assigned
