Villa Charities Inc. (VCI) is a registered charity and non-profit organization that enriches lives through experience and services that honour Italian culture and heritage. VCI includes the Columbus Centre, Joseph D. Carrier Art Gallery, the two Villa Colombo long term care homes, and three independent seniors’ apartments. Through these services they provide cultural and education programs across the GTA and support culturally sensitive long-term care and independent living apartments for seniors. Their mission is to enrich lives through experiences and services, and they fulfill this mandate through a broad range of activities, services, and facilities. This year, VCI is celebrating their 50th anniversary, and plans to host a series of inclusive programming and initiatives to honour the past and recognize the history and contributions that the Italian Canadian community has made to Canada, in addition to celebrating what is to come.
The role of President & CEO for VCI is an important high-impact leadership role. The chief mobilizer, s/he leverages the power of relationships and networks creating partnerships across private, public, and corporate sectors to carry out VCI’s mission. A champion of the brand, the President & CEO is dedicated to creating, resourcing, scaling, and leveraging strategies for broad implementation and impact. The new President & CEO is responsible for building trust in VCI and its relevance in the community; s/he values the importance of partnerships and strives to leverage VCI’s breadth of community presence, relationships, and strategy.
The ideal candidate has experience operating at a senior strategic leadership level and demonstrates a strong belief in & commitment to VCI’s mission. A compelling spokesperson and ambassador for the organization you have the vision and personal skillset required to build relationships with VCI’s stakeholders. You bring substantial experience leading an organization, you have a track record building a vision and a brand, and you are a champion of growth for the organizations you lead. It is imperative that the successful candidate have a deep appreciation for VCI’s mission to create an environment that results in the pride of Italian culture and heritage.
