The President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of St. Joseph's Care Group provides strategic, operational and people leadership to the organization as they meet the changing and unmet health care needs of the people of Thunder Bay and Northwestern Ontario. The President and CEO represents SJCG with respect to all corporate matters, executes the strategic plan as developed by the Board, and ensures the execution of all current relevant legislation while maintaining the Mission, Vision and Core Values of St. Joseph's Care Group.
As a qualified candidate for this opportunity, you have extensive executive leadership experience within a complex health care environment, ideally with a combination of experience from rehabilitation, seniors' health, and mental health and addictions. You possess advanced educational and/or professional qualifications at a Masters level, and certification by the Canadian College of Health Leaders (CHE and LEADS) would be an asset. You bring a passion for leading in an integrated, partnership-oriented, mission and values-based environment; demonstrate commitment to serving vulnerable and marginalized populations; and embody and subscribe to the values of Care, Compassion, and Commitment. You are familiar with the unique healthcare needs in Northwestern Ontario, and have experience in partnering with Indigenous Peoples and First Nation communities. A compelling communicator, you have earned your leadership credentials by developing lasting professional relationships, demonstrating sound business judgment, and creating operational excellence by investing in and managing people with the highest of integrity and by inspiring exceptional performance.
