Lecturer in Great Texts
The Great Texts Program seeks to fill a temporary, non-tenure-track, full-time teaching position at the rank of Lecturer in the Honors College for academic year 2021–2022. A one-time renewal of the appointment is possible. The teaching assignment is four 3-hour sections of Great Texts in each of fall and spring semesters. Assigned courses will include Intellectual Traditions of the Ancient World. The search committee is approved to fill one position, with an anticipated start date in August 2021.
The successful applicant must hold an advanced degree in the teaching discipline, preferably the Ph.D., by the start date of the appointment. Teaching experience is preferred. Applicants for full-time teaching positions will be asked to provide a statement of religious faith demonstrating understanding of and compatibility with Baylor’s Christian mission.
