The University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR) in Colorado offers recent PhDs a residential 2-year fellowship in climate system decision making.
The program offers two-year postdoctoral fellowships located at UCAR, in Boulder, Colorado. Fellowships are awarded to encourage and build the pool of scientists qualified to transfer advances in climate science and climate prediction into climate-related decision frameworks and decision tools. Successful applicants in this program will be hosted by two mentors: one mentor in climate research, the other mentor in the decision making area. PACE fellows will collaboratively as well as independently make decisions about climate science during their time as a fellow.Eligibility & Requirements
PhD related to climate science and climate prediction.
Preference is given to those who have held a PhD for no more than 3 years.
Must be able to work independently and conduct research with minimal supervision.
Cover letter with statement of interest.
One to two page description explaining why you are a climate expert.
Four professional reference letters, one being the thesis advisor.
