Fellowships will be up to two years long, subject to review after the first year, with a starting date beginning July 1, 2021.

This position is in the Department of Biology (Living Earth Collaborative).  This position is for the Danforth Campus.



Essential Functions

The Living Earth Collaborative, a partnership between Washington University, the Missouri Botanical Garden and the Saint Louis Zoo (https://livingearthcollaborative.wustl.edu/ ), is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to study urban evolution in Saint Louis.

The candidate is expected to conduct research on vertebrate animals living in the Saint Louis metropolitan area. 



Required Qualifications

  • Track record of publication on urban evolution in vertebrates, as well as publications on vertebrates from at least two taxonomic classes.
  • Facility with molecular population genetics, systematics and museum specimen preparation.
  • Experience running a website and organizing outreach activities.


Salary Range

Base pay commensurate with experience.
