RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Transfer and Articulation Record Maintenance.
  • Maintains the transfer articulation database for all undergraduate and graduate-level courses.
  • Maintains data integrity and cleans complex databases containing transfer institutions and coursework; runs regular reports to identify duplicate and inaccurate data.
  • Coordinates the definition and maintenance of database structure and content for transfer academic requirements.
  • Encodes and maintains transfer articulation tables.
  • Develops, maintains, and documents transfer articulation process and procedures.
  • Researches, develops, and produces printed and online transfer articulation publications.
  • Develops and regularly maintains transfer guides and transfer course equivalency guides.

Interpersonal/Strategic

  • Serves as both a leader and participant in the Transfer Working Group and liaison with CORE curriculum committee.
  • Collaborates with academic administration (Office of the Provost, school deans, department chairs, etc.) and faculty across all campuses to ensure incoming transfer courses meet University learning objectives as curriculum changes.
  • Works with academic advisors, college deans, academic departments, University administrative offices, and transferring higher education institutions to ensure the accuracy of all transfer curriculum data.
  • Assists in the coordination and the maintenance of articulation agreements, dual admission agreements, and transfer agreements.
  • Works with colleagues at partner institutions to facilitate articulation initiatives and resolve articulation issues.
  • Works with all departments on campus on a regular basis, both academic and administrative, to ensure that articulation issues are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Resolves transfer credit evaluation issues for students, faculty, and staff.
  • Undertakes other needed duties as assigned by the area manager.
  • Travels between campuses and attendance at conferences is required.

Evaluative

  • Conducts quality assurance tasks on student transcripts for transfer equivalencies and general education requirements, posts credits to individual records, and ensures that all information is communicated to the student.
  • Researches transfer course content.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Five or more years of experience in articulation and transfer, academic advising, admissions, credit evaluation, or similar function that requires a broad understanding of curriculum and coursework.
  • Demonstrated experience with university information systems (e.g., Banner, Slate, CourseLeaf, Degree Works, 25 Live).
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity and aptitude with social media platforms.
  • Familiarity with higher education curricula
  • Must be extremely well organized and independent, able to follow through on projects and assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to represent the Office of Academic Records and the University Registrar in a highly professional manner.
  • Must be comfortable working with technical information and collaborating with IT professionals
  • Must possess a flexible and easygoing demeanor for addressing the needs of students, deans, and faculty courteously, diplomatically, and collegially, always with the utmost confidentiality.
  • Detail-oriented and ability to strategically prioritize.
  • Superior oral and written communication skills (demonstrated writing ability is required).
  • Available for evening and weekend hours as needed.
  • Successful candidates should have a knowledge of and commitment to the goals of Jesuit Education.
