Job Summary

Radford University invites applications for a Full Time Special Purpose 9-month position in the School of Nursing at the Radford University Campus. Responsibilities include lecture, skill laboratory instruction, and clinical teaching in acute care settings. Preference will be given to those applicants with the education, certification, clinical experience, and desire to teach Nursing of the Child Bearing Family, Psychiatric Mental Health, Pediatrics, or Adult Health Nursing in the undergraduate BSN program.

Required Qualifications

Required qualifications include a Master of Science in Nursing. Applicants must hold or be eligible for unencumbered Virginia RN licensure in the State of Virginia. Responsibilities include classroom teaching and online lectures, skill laboratory, clinical teaching in acute care settings, scholarship and service with expectations of recent clinical practice.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to those applicants with the education, experience, certification,

and ability to teach Nursing of the Child Bearing Family, Psychiatric Mental Health, Pediatrics, Adult Health Nursing, or Community Health in the undergraduate programs. Prior teaching experience in the classroom and clinical practice setting is preferred. Current clinical practice is preferred. A Doctorate in Nursing, PhD, EDD , or DNP is preferred.

Education

A Master of Science in Nursing is required. A Doctorate in Nursing, PhD, EDD , or DNP is preferred. Current clinical practice is preferred and prior teaching experience in a BSN program. Applicants with the education, experience, certification, and ability to teach Nursing of the Child Bearing Family, Psychiatric Mental Health, Pediatrics, Adult Health, or Community Health in the undergraduate programs are desired.
