JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

A Postdoctoral Scholar position is available in NanoLight Group (http://nanolight.psu.edu ) in the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the Pennsylvania State University, University Park campus. Candidates with background in nanophotonics, metamaterials, biosensing/optogenetics, and optical measurements are highly encouraged to apply. A Ph.D. in electrical engineering, materials science, physics, or other closely related areas is required. The successful applicants must have the ability to work independently and collaboratively. The applicant will be involved in nanophotonic device design, fabrication, and characterization as well as in supervision of research of graduate students. He/she is expected to disseminate the research results in refereed journals, seminars, and conferences. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with a possibility of renewal.

The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters. The ASR is available for review here .
